Head of Deployment & Customer Operations
Build the operation that makes AI work in the real world
Zingage builds AI agents for the operational work behind home-based care: answering calls, coordinating schedules, and helping agencies keep care running. When an agency buys Zingage, it is trusting an AI operator with work its staff previously handled. A successful deployment means that operator understands the agency's rules, connects to its systems, handles exceptions, and earns the team's trust.
That is the opportunity in this role. You will build the system that takes an agency from a signed contract to a reliable, trusted service. Each deployment should make that journey faster and easier for the next agency.
Why this role is worth your attention
At Zingage, the work connects a phone call to a real-world care outcome.
Riley handles inbound calls. Casey coordinates staffing work such as caregiver outreach, shift assignment and updates to the agency's records. A caregiver calling out can set off a chain of decisions that crosses both agents and the agency's own team. You will help make that entire handoff dependable across different agency operating models. That combination of voice, operational actions and ongoing service makes deployment central to the product's value.
Your work determines whether customers can hand real work to AI.
Activation is more than a login or a training session. Phone routing, scheduling rules, escalation paths, integrations, and the customer's confidence all have to work together. You will see directly where AI succeeds in a real business and where the operating system around it needs to improve.
There is a repeatable business to build inside the variation.
Home care agencies share core workflows but differ in how they run them. The challenge is deciding which differences belong in configuration, which require a product change, and which should become a standard way of working. Every step you eliminate and every exception you solve can improve the economics and experience of future deployments.
You will own both today's delivery and tomorrow's system.
You will lead an existing team of roughly five across deployment, support, and account management. You will work directly with the founders and help set the roadmap with Product and Engineering. You can personally build an intake flow, a deployment queue, or an internal tool using AI development tools. You then put it into the team's daily workflow. This is a place for an operator who still likes making things work.
This is a path to Chief Customer Officer.
Begin by making deployment, support, and account management dependable. As the company grows and you demonstrate results, the remit can expand. You can own customer expansion, the economics of the full customer business, and leadership of the broader customer organization. We want someone who can build that function and grow with it.
What you will own
The priority is deployment first, support second, account management third. Faster successful onboarding and stronger retention come first. Expansion becomes a larger focus as that foundation improves.
- –Personally run deployments, learn where customers and the team get stuck, and turn those lessons into playbooks that others can run.
- –Make every account's stage, owner, next step, and blocker visible. Define what a successful launch means and verify it with the customer.
- –Lead the team: allocate work, coach people, plan coverage, and make staffing decisions grounded in workload and customer needs.
- –Build a quarterly improvement roadmap. Choose which customer segment or operating constraint to solve first, what to defer, and what support you need from Product and Engineering.
- –Make support dependable from the first report through resolution and customer follow-through. Turn recurring problems into improvements to the product or process.
- –Give account managers the capacity and tools to help customers get value, identify risk early, and retain their business.
- –Use AI tools such as Devin, Lovable, or equivalents to build useful workflows yourself. Test what you build, handle exceptions, and make it maintainable by the team.
What you bring
- –You have personally built or substantially improved a repeatable onboarding, deployment, or service operation. You can show what changed in time to value, effort, quality, or retention—and explain your own contribution.
- –You have managed people and capacity while maintaining delivery. You can make a staffing plan, develop teammates, and make clear tradeoffs when demand exceeds resources.
- –You can connect frontline problems to a sequenced roadmap, including the work you chose not to do.
- –You still enjoy hands-on customer and operational work. You are comfortable starting with a small team and incomplete infrastructure.
- –You use AI tools to build practical improvements, and you check whether they actually work.
- –You communicate clearly with customers and technical teammates, investigate beyond the first plausible explanation, and revise your plan when new evidence changes it.
Experience in vertical AI, SMB software, merchant onboarding, or another operation with repeated customer deployments is especially relevant. Home care experience is useful. Evidence that you have built a scalable operation matters more.
What success looks like
In your first months, you will establish clear ownership and a trustworthy baseline. You will personally learn the deployment and support work and improve one repeatable deployment path. Customers in that segment should reach verified service sooner, with less rework and less staff effort. The team should spend less time chasing internal handoffs, and the next quarter's priorities should follow from what you learn.
Over time, success means stronger retention and a customer operation that can grow without every new account requiring proportional staff effort or founder intervention.
Interview process
Recruiter conversation → interview with Daniel → remote discussion of an operating system you built → an onsite working session with the team. During the onsite, you will investigate a realistic deployment problem and use AI tools to build and test a practical improvement. We care about your judgment, ownership, and ability to make a team more effective.
