Go-to-market
Founding Sales Development Representative
Own top of funnel for a product agency owners already want to buy.
Build the infrastructure that keeps grandma home.
Home care is a $100B+ industry still run on phone calls, paper, and chaos. Agencies lose revenue and clients lose care to scheduling gaps, missed calls, and weekend callouts. Our AI runs the back office so agency staff can focus on care.
The go-to-market team is being built right now. This is a founding seat on it.
About the role
This is a phone-first outbound role. You own top of funnel: cold prospects, stalled deals, and dormant pipeline, turned into qualified meetings our AEs accept and close.
Cold calls come first. Email, LinkedIn, conferences, field visits, and whatever else works come after.
Your buyer is a home care agency owner: a former corporate professional who bought a franchise to be their own boss and now runs a small number of locations. They answer their own phones and they can hear a script from the first sentence.
The last person in this seat is now an AE. We promote from the SDR bench on performance.
What you'll own
- –8-10 qualified meetings held per week, quality-weighted: an AE has to accept the meeting and the pain has to be real and recorded.
- –Your own target list. You research the agency before you dial and you know why you are calling this owner today.
- –Cold calling as the primary channel, with email, LinkedIn, and creative plays supporting it.
- –The field motion: conferences in spring and fall, plus regular agency visits.
- –Clean notes and clean handoffs. The AE should be able to run the meeting from what you wrote.
- –Your own tooling. We build AI and automation into everything, and you'll use it and tell us where it falls short.
What we're looking for
Different paths in. Same bar.
- –Proven producer: outbound SDR or BDR work with production you can prove through quota definition, attainment, rank, and sourced pipeline. SMB owner-operator motions are the best preparation for this buyer.
- –Exceptional builder: you have measurable production you generated yourself somewhere else. Wealth management, insurance, recruiting, fundraising, hospitality, founding a company, building your own training book, competitive sport. Bring the numbers.
- –The shape either way: warm, plain-spoken, high-activity, coachable. Someone an agency owner enjoys buying from, not a polished enterprise rep.
- –You want a phone-first, rejection-heavy job. This is the whole job, not a short stage you pass through.
- –You write carefully. Every prospect reads your email before they take your call.
- –Automation excites you rather than threatens you. Clay or AI-tooling fluency is nice, never required.
- –Also: NYC and in office full time, with regular travel during conference season.
Compensation
Highly competitive for this seat. Base plus uncapped variable, accelerators, an override on the deals you source, and meaningful equity. We walk finalists through the full numbers line by line on the first call.
Interview process
The process moves quickly from start to finish. We do not want rehearsed answers, so nothing here rewards a script.
- –Phone screen with our CEO. Production forensics and live funnel math with our numbers.
- –Work sample due after the screen. Deliverables include a target brief on a real agency, a critique of one of our cold emails, your own cold email, a multi-touch sequence, your strongest production metrics, and a live cold call against our AI prospect, which interrupts and objects like the real thing.
- –In-office audition with our CEO, our senior SDR, and our GTM engineering lead. Live cold-call role play with coaching and a replay, account planning, a conference-floor simulation, and time with the team.
- –References, including a former direct manager. We verify every number claimed and respond promptly with a decision.
Every candidate hears from us promptly after a decision, including rejections.
What we offer
- –Competitive base and meaningful equity. If this works, it should work for you.
- –Equipment stipend: whatever setup makes you fast.
- –Luxury gym membership in NYC. We work in health care. Yours counts too.
- –Daily lunch, and dinner when work runs past dark. Big fan of late-night jams!
- –Time off as needed. We measure output, not hours at a desk.
- –Happy hours, poker nights, and builder events in our Soho office.
- –Snacks in office, including team favorites like Gruns gummies, sardines, protein bars, and midday froyo runs.
